G.I.F.T.S., Girls Inspired for Total Success, is a mentoring program for girls ages 6-18 focusing on the positive development of the total girl. Participants will be exposed to aspects of the world to enable them to make the best decisions for their future. The year-long program will concentrate on specific academic  enrichment, cultural awareness, personal care, social values, as well as future aspirations. Girls will meet once a week with their mentor and on one Saturday of the month during the school year as well as two full days during the summer break. They will participate in activities to include a book club, personal budgeting, college tour, dream job development, exposure to the arts, and self-development through community engagement and field trips. At the end of the program, girls who participated for the entire year will have a graduation trip to be announced after funding has been secured.
